FROM MY REVIEW IN THE 356 REGISTRY:

Porsche and Mille Miglia, by Curami, a very interesting and specialized book, actually covers 356 racing in Italy through 1957 (the date of the last Mille Miglia).  Here your will find photos of racing 356s, only a few 356As and Spyders, obviously no 356Bs or Cs.  And those interested in racing arcanumna will quickly understand why Porsche produced the 1300S, even though the 1500S was quicker and cost not a DM more to make.  Covered as well are the other internationally significant races in Italy.  Steve Heinricks pounced upon this book at Ventura, but unfortunately, it did not offer any information beyond his research demonstrating that a Carrera Speedster ran the last Mile Miglia.  Certainly not the first 356 book you should buy, but extremely desirable for those interested in the 356 (PreA) and European racing in the 50s and a reasonable deal at $34.95.
